Euro Hire Drive hires 7, 8 and 9 seat people carriers and a 17 seat minibus by the day, the weekend and the week from our depot at 5A Grange Road, Houstoun Industrial Estate, Livingston, fifteen minutes from Edinburgh Airport. The vehicles above are the groups we run, and the table below tells you which one fits your group and which licence you need.
| Vehicle | Seats | Luggage with all seats up | Licence | Best for |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| VW Touran or similar | 7 | 2 to 3 bags | Category B | Family holidays, airport runs |
| Mercedes-Benz V-Class | 8 | 4 to 5 bags | Category B | Weddings, executive groups, comfort |

| Ford Transit 17 seat minibus | 17 | limited, rear rack space | D1 entitlement | Clubs, school and church groups, tours |
Models are typical for each group; the exact vehicle is confirmed when you book. The 17 seater needs a D1 entitlement on the driver’s licence, which most drivers who passed their test before January 1997 already have; everything up to 9 seats drives on a standard category B car licence.
Businesses that need a crew vehicle for a month or more can take a 9 seater on long term hire or flexi hire; see business hire for account billing.
No. Vehicles with up to 9 seats including the driver drive on a standard UK category B car licence. Only the 17 seat minibus needs a D1 entitlement.
