It drives on a standard category B car licence, and our double cab tipper is the six-seat alternative when the load is soil or rubble rather than tools.

What you need to hire one
- A photocard driving licence held for at least two years; drivers aged 23 to 70.
- A DVLA licence check code from the last 21 days, or your National Insurance number.
- Two proofs of address dated within the last three months, one a bank or card statement.
- A card in the driver’s name for the refundable security deposit; business accounts can be billed monthly instead.
Crew van hire questions
Can several members of the crew drive it?
Yes. Additional drivers can be added for a small charge, subject to the same age and licence checks, and each must be present at collection with their documents.
Is the load space secure?
Yes. The crew van has a solid bulkhead and lockable rear and side doors, so tools can stay in the van overnight where the site allows.
Can I tow with a crew van?
Some are fitted with towbars. Tell us when you enquire if you need to tow a trailer and we will allocate a suitable vehicle.
Can you deliver to site?
Yes, across West Lothian for most hires and further afield for hires of a week or more.
What is included?
VAT, insurance for the named driver, mileage and UK breakdown cover. Mileage is limited on one to three day hires; the excess can be reduced with a collision damage waiver.
